MODERN COASTER 35

Even a handsome boat like the Classic Coaster can be refined to suit better to contemporary requirements for more comfort and space. So the wellknown naval architect Judel/Vrolijk & Co. and Luetje Yachts advanced the type. They were aesthetically inspired by their Feara 47, a much respected modern Classic Coaster variation launched few years ago. Thus the MODERN COASTER was created.

The boldly curved gunwale and the somewhat backward position of the superstructure remind on the american Sportfisherman: beginning with the slightly lowered nose followed by the raised forecastle and the declining deck towards the stern. The sloped roof of the deckhouse pronounces the sporty and modern style as well as the carefully located wheelhouse emerging straight from the deck.

The forecastle with its high freeboard provides plenty of buoyancy in a rough seaway and with 1,85 metres conveniant height in the owners cabin. Besides that the MODERN COASTER offers amenities being expected today during a weekend or the summer cruise: A permanent V-berth, 2 metres long and up to 2,20 m wide for two, a separate lavatory and a wardrobe.The pantry is located below the extended roof of the wheelhouse for sociable cooking and the supply of guests at the dining table nearby. Different to the Classic Coaster, this layout separates the guests from the privacy of the owners area. The aftdeck obtained a different layout as well, making it and the added bathing platform more accessible. The boat is built with the extended coach roof or with an open wheelhouse.

The classy and elegant mahogany panelling is expanded by mat white surfaces. This gives the interior a more modern ambience. Propulsion comes with the well known Z-drive, being familiar to most owners. What remained untouched is the pleasure to see the boat, the pride to own and the fun to drive it. And then there is the excellence of the craft, the sophistication in details and feel created by the boatbilders of Luetje Yachts.
